TESRA, would for the first time, require a scientifically peer-reviewed recovery plan when a species is listed as threatened or endangered. It also provides compensation and incentives for private landowners, important because most endangered species live on private land. This will do much to improve the miserable record of the current ESA that has seen only 10 of nearly 1300 listed species recover over the act's 31-year history. We suggest you go to the link shown below and cast your entry for Chairman Pombo. Four entry fields on the ballot are mandatory. They are: -----Field 1: "What is your wildlife hero's name?"
