Grassroots ESA Coalition Meets In DC July 18th –19th.

You don’t want to miss these meetings.

This is a big deal.

There was no choice about the timing of this message. Please call your airline and place your reservations immediately.

Hello friends and neighbors:

Heads up. Save the following dates and plan accordingly. You will want to buy your airplane tickets quickly. This message will by cryptic, as we cannot broadcast the details. Please do not forward this message.

The week of July 18th looks like it will have a lot of Endangered Species Act action in Congress. We cannot give you the details at this time, but it should be understood that if you care about what happens with the Endangered Species Act in the House of Representatives, you should be in Washington, DC from Monday, July 18th until at least Wednesday night, July 20th.

It’s likely activities will continue on July 21st and July 22nd. All of this is subject to last minute changes that we have no control over.

You should plan to fly to Washington, DC on Sunday, July 17th and leave very late on July 20th or later. You would be better off delaying your departure time until late Friday.

I apologize for being so cryptic, but that is how things are. You won’t want to miss out on this week if you care about the ESA.

We’re planning two meetings.

-----1. The first meeting will be for the Grassroots ESA Coalition only and is set for Monday, July 18th at the Best Western Pentagon in Arlington. It will start at 10:00 am and be over at approximately 5:00 pm. Attendance is by invitation. We will keep a list at the door. If you are not sure whether you are on the Grassroots ESA List, call Chuck Cushman at (360) 687-3087. Or send an e-mail to < ccushman@landrights.org >. If you simply want to be invited to the Grassroots ESA Coalition meeting, send an e-mail to the same place.

Please send an e-mail confirmation if you are planning to come to the Grassroots ESA Coalition meeting. Send it to < ccushman@landrights.org >.

-----2. The second meeting will be a general ESA meeting open to others and will also be by invitation only. All Grassroots ESA Coalition folks will be welcome at both meetings but we will need your confirmation. The second meeting will start at 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 19th and run until approximately 5:00 pm. If you have not been invited, send a note to ccushman@landrights.org.

Please send an e-mail confirmation if you are planning to come to the general ESA meeting to < ccushman@landrights.org >. You can send one confirmation for both meetings but be sure to specify it is for both meetings.

Other events: There are likely to be other events planned for the evenings this week including Wednesday and Thursday evening. One for sure on Tuesday night. Relaxed food events with wine and talk. Great fun. You won’t want to miss out. These events will be by invitation only so be sure to get your confirmations in.

 >>>Also, if you have suggestions for new people to invite to either meeting, send me a note. Don’t worry about whether they have or have not been invited. You might give us a name we already have. It doesn’t matter. We’ll check them.
It would be helpful if you can include a phone number, fax number and e-mail.

>>>We’re working on the agenda for both meetings. If you have suggestions for topics and/or speakers you would like to have, please share that too.

Thank you in advance for your help.
